Experience working in large Azure environments, spanning multiple accounts/subscriptions, availability zones, and regions.
Experience to Azure IaaS & PaaS Services, experience in migration of workloads to cloud and understanding of Azure native services and disk pooling.
Experience in managing SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014 ,2016 and 2019 as well as sun setting older databases/versions.
Experience to configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Install, monitor for, download and apply upgrades, updates and fixes database software on servers as needed. Monitor databases for performance and issues using monitoring tools.
Good Experience in backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands.
Experience with Always On design, Availability groups, replication, log shipping, mirroring and storage replication technologies.
Knowledge of SQL Server tools (Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SAC, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, system procs)
Ability to set priorities and follow project schedules. Checking Alert Log files for Internal Database Activity, and related issues. Proactive action on the alerts.
Owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs
Highly self-motivated and excellent time management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Works independently with general supervision, exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.
